Erin Hànyù (汉玉) Lynch
Erin Hànyù (汉玉) Lynch is a writer and Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow studying at the University of Chicago. A committed advocate of environmental justice, she has been involved in activism, NGO work, and the (completely accidental!) deaths of house plants.
For the curious, her academic research takes an ecocritical approach to the history of science in 19th-century China, with particular attention to the environmental implications of Western imperialism during China's Self-Strengthening period.
