Gabrielle Deonath is a Guyanese-American writer. Her career is rooted in creative nonfiction and journalism, driven by her passion to amplify marginalized voices. She is co-editor of the 2021 anthology "untold: defining moments of the uprooted," a collection of 31 vivid narratives that highlight the nuances of the South Asian diasporic experience. This anthology, one of the first of its kind, garnered recognition from publications such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan, and was honored with the 2021 Purple Dragonfly Award. She is also the author of "Shukr," a gratitude and prayer journal tailored for Muslim women. Currently, Gabrielle is channeling her love for the written word into a new challenge — a debut romance novel, where she continues her mission to elevate diverse representation and spotlight relevant social issues.
